Fall Fashion Trends Time After Time
Add commentFall fashion trends are always on the atmosphere. With its windy climate, cloudy sky, and brownie scenery everywhere – it is too perfect to depict. So that terrific moment is a best time to update your wardrobe, fashionista! Fashion keeps on being modified through the time. This year, it is not a bad idea if we glance at the previous fall trends decades ago to enrich our collection and fashion outlook. So here they are fall trends from the 1920s that may make your eyes lose a wink.
Start from the 1920s when most of you have not been born yet, Art Deco style was hot in the decade. Besides, flapper and waist dresses flooded boutiques and modern women’s wardrobes. Now, prominent designers such as Ralph Lauren, Aquilano, Rimondi and Anna Sui brought the style back in this millennium. Of course the flapper is still favorite. The Upcoming Great Gatsby by Baz Luhrmann is also predicted to carry the 1920s trends. See-in drop-waist dresses plus bold sequin combined with unique Art Deco-inspired jewelry. It is apparently glamorous so avoid over wear all those hovering stuffs. Instead of covering your outfit with such “heavy” accessories, try jade-embellishment belt, glittery vintage brooch or felt bucket hat. They are just pretty for your fall flapper.
Moving two decades ahead, the 1940s fashion trends were dominated with vintage vibe. For references, check out Adrian’s collections such as shoulder pads. See also Marc Jacobs’ works and Roland Mouret, rabal Gurung, and Victoria Beckham for glamorous evenings. This is the rule: pair a sharp-shouldered crepe dress with more contemporary statement heels like sparkling trompe l’oeil boots. So catchy.
The 1950s brought sweeter feminine side. Today, Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, and Monique L’huilier have shown other styles like ladylike blouses, lace party frocks, below-the-knee pencil skirt. There are also varsity jackets from Sonia Rykiel and Rag & Bone. Do not hesitate to put on flattering pencil skirt. For the models, check Louis Vuitton and Givenchy’s.
So ladies, if you happen to find your stylish grandma’s clothes, check out whether there are some that match to you. You may also go window-shopping first to see what old fashioned styles which are still hot.
